Hello everyone:) I know this week has probably been crazy for all of you, wherever the heck you are. So my apologies on behalf of all the PSYCHO PEOPLE WHO STEAL ALL THE TOILET PAPER!!!!!!!! I just want to laugh because it's actually hysterical because when one person freaks out, then everyone else freaks out and then it's a global thing and the media makes it all awful for no reason and then the sane people have to start eating their couch cushions because #nofood. Hopefully it doesn't get to that point..

While all that is just "fun and games", the missionary work continues. I think people need God now more than ever. Although there's the sad question, "If your God is so real then why doesn't he just come down here and make all the bad stuff stop?!!!!!!!!!!" (exclamation marks because people get very heated when this is a part of our conversation) Whaaaale, lettuce look at it like this........... when you're a child, you get fed your food. You can't do it on your own due to the lack of understanding on how to put the spoon in your mouth and not have the cereal toppel off the side (not speaking from experience, I know how to eat cereal). So when you're older and bigger and know how to use a spoon, it's quite helpful when you're hungry. On the contrary, imagine if you never stopped being "spoon fed." Imagine if your parents up until however old you are right now, were feeding you. A. That'd be flippin weird and B. YOU would be the psycho C. You would never learn how to feed yourself!

Just like we're taught how to use a spoon, our Heavenly Father sent us to earth to teach us. So we grow up and are whispered what to say for the opening prayer in  primary. But then you learn how to do it on your own, therefore you don't need the help anymore. Heavenly Father isn't going to give us all the information we need and take away all the bad things and make everything perfect. Because if He did, we wouldn't learn. It's that simple. We're taught what's right and it's up to us, at that point of understanding, if we should be independant or spoon fed.

Realizations like this help me to understand that it's all going to be A-OKAY! I know it's scary, trust me. But we've been prepared in the life before and up until this point. WE KNOW WHAT TO DO, WE KNOW WHAT'S RIGHT AND WHAT IS REQUIRED OF US. But YOU'RE the one who either leaves or removes the spoon from your mouth.

In 3 Nephi chapter 12, Jesus Christ calls his 12 Apostles. Specifically, verse one says, "And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words unto Nephi, and  to those who had been called, (now the number of them who had been called, and received power and authority to baptize was twelve) and behold he stretched forth his hand unto the multitude, and cried unto them, saying: Blessed are ye if ye give heed unto the words of the twelve whom I have chosen from among you to minister unto you and to be your servants.."

Just let that soak in. Jesus Christ, himself, called 12 apostles back when he was on the earth. And here we are today, in a church that has 12 Apostles with that EXACT same authority to be "our servants." How cool that we get to be apart of a Church so special and real. This is HIS Church and if we follow the council of the Prophet, President Nelson AND his apostles, we will be okay. And to be "okay" is a pretty big thing. Especially now.

So I challenge you all to reconsider if you are "giving heed unto the words of the twelve" because if we do, if you do, then "Blessed are ye.."
