HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PARKER!!!!

This last week we saw lots of bugs and lots of miracles. I just love being a missionary :') 

First. Because of the time difference back home and here, there's like two of every day for me. Cause technically I'm still American so that means I had two birthdays. Sunday in Aus and Sunday is America. So thank you for wishing me a happy birthday it felt oh so good to be loved x2 ;)

Every week there's a new set of miracles. Every day really. Sometimes it's just a miracle that I'm still alive. Riding bicycles in 60% humidity and 98 degrees are not the eaaaasiest thing I've ever done but like I said, I'm still here right??

Today we did some shopping at a souvenir shop and I found the coolest backscratcher that was made from a real crocodile claw???? Like what??? So if anyone wants one, send me 200 bucks and it's yours!

We haven't had General Conference so I WILL do my report on that next Wednesday but I got a snippet from my mother and I want you all to know how important it is to listen to the prophet!! He speaks with God!!! How crazy!! So shouldn't what he says be taken seriously?? I think so. When they release the ensigns, read and re-read. I know and promise it'll bless your lives. 

We ASKED SCARY QUESTIONS THIS WEEK!!!!!! we are teaching this girl, her name is Nastassja and she's so dope. She's sooo smart and cool and collects books and nic nacs like my sis Alexa and we bonded over our love for Harry Potter. Also. ALEXA. SHE HAS A LIFE SIZE HEDWIG. Ok anyways, she's awesome! And we had our third lesson with her and taught the Plan of Salvation! It went SO well. SHES SO READY!! You can honestly tell when someone's a truth seeker. And she is so totally a truth seeker. Anyways!!! So the scary question--- we asked her the first or second (I don't know which is which) Baptismal question. My comp asked it actually. And it was out of the blue and I promise my heart rate was through the dang roof. But she SAID YES!!!!! (She has a testimony and believes that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Restoration and that the Book of Mormon is true) I WAS LIKE.... YYYYEEEESSSSS. it's so exciting to see people progressing because then she shared a story about how personal revelation has helped her. And how shes been able to be at peace and recognize that God does love her! So amazing because that's our whole message! Try it for yourself and know God loves you and will bless you! Yay for more miracles :)

I didn't get saved from a rabid dog BUT I did get saved from some poison. Poison from a spider that BIT ME. I have proof and my foot straight up went numb for like 8/9 seconds and then it started going up my leg and then after that, it stopped. So. Moral of the story I have 9 lives or God is real once again. (Hint it's the second one) 

I can't wait for conference and I hope you all know how much God loves us. There are so many promises in the scriptures that show that love. And that tells you what you can get if you just do what he says. They're called promised blessings. And everyone can have them :)! If any of you haven't read the Book of Mormon before, I challenge you to read 1 page. Just pick a random page. Read it, and pray about it. Sincerely wanting to know if it's true. And I promise you'll know. BECAUSE THE CHURCH IS TRUE AND THE BOOK OF MORMON IS SO AWESOME AND REAL AND TRUE. pinky promise.

Hello fellow friends and family!!!!! Australia is wild!! There are ants everywhere. Also saw the biggest grasshopper of my life. I'll send a picture hehe.

So sorry last week's email was a mess and a half. I didn't have time to fix anything hahaha.

This past week has been good!! I'm starting to get the hang of it and before I know it this transfer will be over and I'll have only one more transfer for training): crazy how fast time has gone by so far. 

I've met some pretty incredible people here. It's really crazy when you pray to love people you've never even met before, then meet them and love them even more. God is so good. 

We got someone to commit to pray for a baptism date!! SO cool! Her husband is a recent convert of a year or so and they are awesome. We switched roles and cooked dinner at their house for them! It was super fun. Made tacos. *thank you, mom, for having that meal 3 times a week so I had it all memorized* ;)

We also had some miracles so I'll share those!!!!

2 Sundays ago we met this girl, Chevon and talked about the POS. No reason, just what pamphlets we brought with us. I talked about that and then left her with an invitation to read and pray and got a return appointment! I went back the following Sunday for the appointment and she was on her way out with the family for a movie ): so we tried 3 days ago and GUESS WHAT! MOST POWERFUL LESSON ABOUT GOD AND HIS LOVE AND FAMILIES AND THE BOM AND THE ATONEMENT AHHH! so so good. And I also asked her if she thinks having this belief and relationship with God has helped her and she said, "actually it's been really strengthened the past 2 weeks" and we were like "if you don't mind me asking why is that?" And she said...... "well the day before I met you two, I prayed to God that someone would come into my life to tell me where my loved ones go when they die" !!!!! WHAT SO CRAZY. SHE PRAYED US TO HER HOUSE!!!!! wow so so cool. Ah. Missionary work is real! She's super awesome and we're excited to meet with her next week :) 

Almost got eaten alive by the biggest pitbull I've ever seen. I walked past this fence in front of a house (where this dog was) for I swear 5 minutes. So when we got to a different part of the fence we assumed it was a different house. I walked into the gate, and sure enough, I immediately felt danger within Haha. And this dog, probably going 100 mph comes bolting at my comp and I and I didn't even flinch I just had the thought to stick my hand out calmly. So I did. And he straight up stopped in his tracks and didn't move an inch. We went and knocked, no one was even home and we walked out safely. The dog didn't move. Interesting. So I could be a magician or God could be real, you tell me;)

So so many amazing little miracles come from just being close to the spirit. I talked to my little sister about this a little so I'm gonna repeat myself. (Sorry sam love you) the little things are SO important. I've never realized how much primary impacted me until I got here. But praying, reading your scriptures, going to church, paying tithing. It's ALL WORTH IT! God gave us these tools to become closer to Him. And if anything, primary prepared us for that! Don't take it for granted. Also, know Heavenly Father sees your efforts so even if you cant read for 5 minutes he's proud of your willingness to do so. So keep praying like I said last week. It's so important so I'm talking about it twice. Start your day with prayer and a verse of scripture from the BOM. I promise you, it will change your day from good to better. Try it. And be sincere about it. God wants us to return to Him and this is how. We won't survive in the last days with just a testimony. 

I know God lives and walks by my side each day. And I know the Holy Ghost is real and can be your constant companion to shield you from danger each day if you are worthy of His protection. I know the Savior suffered for my physical sins but also my emotional sins. And that the Atonement is INFINITE. Which means it's for EVERYONE. no matter how many times you repeat the same mistake. You can be forgiven. You're never ever ever "not good enough" for God. He loves you. And that love we cannot comprehend. I love you all. Keep being good people and smile at a stranger. You never know what it could do!
